When this film came out in the theaters, I remember seeing the commercials and thinking that I wanted to go see it. But I never did…I just never got around to it. Most people never got around to it…the most attention that the film got was from the soundtrack. It was that song that was on MTV constantly, ‘Camel Walk,’ by Southern Culture on the Skids (What ever happened to them? Who knows…One of my friends actually bought the CD, but he is also the guy who bought rubber chickens and ‘Baked Potatoes – The Potsmoker’s Guide to Video.’) Needless to say, the film should have gotten a lot more attention.
Ben Stiller is looking for his biological parents because he is having an identity crisis. This identity crisis is keeping him from naming his baby. It is also driving his wife, Patricia Arquette, crazy. Helping him find his parents is psychologist in training, Tea Leoni (Mrs. David Duchovny). Along the way, he almost has an affair with the psychologist and his wife almost has an affair with a bisexual FBI agent (Josh Brolin, who I really wanted to do when he was in ‘Goonies‘) that she want to high school with. Phewww!
I like the part where the other FBI agent is accidentally dosed with acid meant for Ben Stiller.
